Let me start by saying I do not eat raw sushi but my husband said it's the best in South Jersey. I, however had tempura shrimp and soft shell crab roll which both were very good. The actual restaurant is very dark and ceilings are super low. The staff could be more friendly.

This is my 5th time dining in this restaurant. As usual, excellent food. However, to my surprize, the restaurant was 100% full on the 27th after Christmas. Despite booking in advance, we had to wait for 10-15 min in line to get a table. Never happened before.

I was visiting NJ for work and decided to stop by Sagami. I loved the hot green tea in this cold weather. I ordered Chirashi and Nasu Shiguyaki, and both dishes were delicious. I will be visiting again on a future trip.

This was an AMAZING find. Was looking for a new spot. I read about this restaurant starting in the 70s and being James Beard nominated. The ambiance was fun, all wooden and I felt like I was in my grandmas house. The service was incredible. The server was great at steering us around the menu. The age tofu is a must have. Don’t forget it’s a BYOB!

Pretty good shrimp sushi roll. Decent portions. Hurried and rushed service at sushi counter. Entitled service to get customers in and out. Will not go back.

The great dishes I had are sashimi and steamed Asari clam. Sukiyaki is too salty.

This place is amazing. Simple and straightforward menu, fresh sushi, great service. There's a reason it's been around so long.

The sushi was amazing we had a great time there especially the sushi rice That's the right amount of vinegar with very fresh fish assorted I already booked the next reservation to come back here :) worth the wait service was a little slow but in a good way as their quality control was top knoch! Loved everything we ate! The ice cream was not too sweet just so delicious!
